WHAT WE COLLECT
Only what an order needs: the map pin and radius you choose, your design options and engraving text, your email address, and — when you buy — the name and shipping address you give our payment processor. Payment details go directly to the processor (Shopify); they never touch our servers.
WHAT WE DO WITH IT
Your pin and design options are used to build your map and are kept with your order record so we can remake or repair it later. Your email is used for proofs, order updates, and — only if you joined the waitlist — a note when coverage reaches your area. No marketing lists you didn’t ask for, no selling data, no ad trackers.
WHERE THE MAP DATA COMES FROM
Terrain previews are built in your browser from public elevation and mapping services (Ontario’s open LiDAR program, open topographic tiles, satellite imagery). Your pin location is sent to those services to fetch the tiles that cover it — the same way any web map works. Nothing about you travels with it beyond the coordinates themselves.
YOUR CHOICES
Email us any time to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. We’re Canadian; PIPEDA applies.

MADE TO ORDER, APPROVED BY YOU
Every map is built for one place — yours. Before anything prints, you receive a proof to approve. Once you approve it, production begins and the order can no longer be changed. Most maps ship within 2–3 weeks of approval.
RETURNS & REMAKES
Because each piece is custom, we can’t resell a return — so instead we stand behind the work. Arrives damaged? We remake it, free. Doesn’t match the proof you approved? We remake it, free. Changed your mind before approving the proof? Full refund, no questions.
A KEEPSAKE, NOT A SURVEY
CarvedShores maps are decorative. Vertical scale is artistically exaggerated and details are simplified for printing. They are not for navigation, engineering, legal, or survey use, and we accept no liability for such use.
DATA ATTRIBUTION
